What is the BizAdapt Grant?
BizAdapt is designed to help Singaporean companies adapt to disruptions caused by US tariffs. It provides funding to engage third-party experts and to reconfigure supply chains to mitigate the impact of these trade pressures.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for the BizAdapt grant, your business must:
Be registered and have operations in Singapore.
Have at least 30% local equity held by Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
Be directly or indirectly impacted by US tariffs. This includes companies that export directly to the US, as well as those that supply goods to other markets that are eventually made into products sent to the US.
What Does the Grant Support?
The grant supports two main categories of activities:
1. Third-Party Advisory Services
You can claim funding for engaging experts in three key areas:
Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and Trade Compliance: Get an in-depth assessment of opportunities available via FTAs and advice on customs compliance processes.
Legal and Contractual Matters: Seek legal advice related to trade disruptions.
Supply Chain Optimisation and Market Diversification: Receive expert guidance on how to optimise your supply chain or diversify into new markets.
2. Supply Chain Reconfiguration
For manufacturing operations that require reconfiguration, the grant supports costs related to logistics and inventory, including:
Logistics Costs: Freight charges, handling fees, and customs clearance fees.
Inventory Costs: Warehouse rentals and the deployment of inventory management systems.
Funding Levels
The grant provides the following levels of support, capped at SGD 100,000 per company:
For Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs): Up to 50% of eligible costs.
For Larger Companies: Up to 30% of eligible costs.
How to Apply
Applications for the BizAdapt grant are submitted through the Business Grants Portal. The grant is open for applications for two years, ending on 6 October 2027.
