Client Accounting Senior Executive

We are looking for a Client Accounting Senior Executive to join our client accounting team. This is a new role as the business has scaled since inception.

The role focuses on managing the accounting and bookkeeping work of a portfolio of clients, while using modern workflow and AI-enabled tools to make traditional accounting work more efficient.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for a portfolio of client accounts, including:

  • Maintaining full or partial sets of accounts for assigned clients;

  • Performing bookkeeping and recording accounting transactions;

  • Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries;

  • Performing bank, debtor, creditor and balance sheet reconciliations;

  • Preparing monthly accounting schedules and closing entries;

  • Preparing monthly management reports and management accounts;

  • Preparing GST computations and supporting GST filings;

  • Preparing supporting schedules for corporate tax, financial statements and year-end accounts;

  • Assisting with financial statement preparation and audit requirements;

  • Reviewing client records for missing information, inconsistencies and accounting issues;

  • Liaising with clients to obtain accounting documents and resolve routine accounting queries;

  • Maintaining proper working papers, supporting documents and accounting records;

  • Managing accounting deadlines across multiple client engagements; and

  • Supporting other accounting, finance and compliance-related assignments as required.


Technology-enabled client accounting

A key part of this role will be learning to use our bookkeeping, consolidation and management-reporting workflows effectively.


We are an AI-enabled professional services firm, and staff will have access to AI and other digital tools designed to make their work easier and more efficient.


We want our accounting team to use technology to reduce manual work in areas such as:


  • Transaction processing and categorisation;

  • Document and data review;

  • Reconciliations;

  • Consolidation of accounting information;

  • Preparation of schedules;

  • Management-report preparation; and

  • Identification of unusual transactions or discrepancies.


Professional judgement and accounting knowledge remain essential. The objective is to allow our team to spend less time on repetitive processing and more time ensuring that client accounts are accurate, complete and useful.


Who we’re looking for

You should ideally have:


  • 1–3 years of relevant bookkeeping, accounting or outsourced-accounting experience;

  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline;

  • Practical knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and full-set accounting;

  • Familiarity with GST and Singapore accounting requirements;

  • Experience preparing management accounts or financial reports;

  • Good spreadsheet skills;

  • Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to managing multiple deadlines;

  • Confidence communicating with clients to obtain information and resolve routine matters; and

  • An interest in accounting technology, automation and AI-enabled workflows.

  • Experience with Xero and/or experience in an accounting, corporate services or outsourced-finance environment would be advantageous.


Employment arrangement

This is a one-year renewable contract position, with the opportunity to be considered for conversion to a permanent position after 12 months, subject to performance, organisational requirements and mutual agreement.
